The Cobb Chamber was fortunate to host a community of
partners and collaborators for this year's Economic Development Summit.
Industry experts and regional leaders discussed in depth the needs of our
community, our strengths as an economic driver in our region, trends in
workforce around the state, and an overview of the importance of some of the
largest ports on the east coast.
WorkSource Cobb/CobbWorks's President/CEO presented on the
"Workforce in Cobb." Ms. Grant provided insight into the needs of employers and
the need for skilled workers. She shared information regarding the BOSS
program's work experience component and how employers can get involved to help
train our up-and-coming workforce.
