Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo and U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) hosted a roundtable at CobbWorks to discuss how Cobb County, GA is utilizing federal investments from President Biden's Investing in America agenda to catalyze economic development in Georgia.
Following the roundtable, Deputy Secretary Adeyemo, Senator Ossoff, and Cobb County leaders held a press conference to highlight the new Cobb WorkSource Center in Mableton, funded by the American Rescue Plan. The new center is part of Cobb County's Career Training Program. The workforce development center will include a co-working space and provide small businesses and job seekers with a computer lab, Wi-Fi, job search assistance, professional development workshops, literacy services, employment placement, and skills training.
The roundtable and press conference in Cobb County highlighted the importance of federal investments in driving economic development and creating opportunities for communities. With the implementation of President Biden's Investing in America agenda and the American Rescue Plan, Georgia is poised for a strong and equitable recovery from the pandemic.
